CAMDEN, N.J. (Jan. 3, 2024) – Senior guard
Rahzirah Blocker scored a game-high 24 points to pass the 900-point milestone for her career, but the Rutgers University-Camden women's basketball team lost to Penn State-Harrisburg, 66-49, here Wednesday.
The Scarlet Raptors fall to 0-13, while the Nittany Lions improve to 5-9.
Penn State-Harrisburg never trailed in the game, although the Scarlet Raptors were only down by three (24-21) at the half and in the middle of the third quarter (31-28) before the Nittany Lions went on a 14-3 run to make it a 14-point game (45-31). Their biggest lead came at the final score.
Senior guard Jayla Galbreath scored 15 points to pace three Nittany Lions in double figures. Senior forward Mikayla Wright netted 13 points and sophomore forward Nicole Hernandez added 12 for Penn State-Harrisburg. Sophomore guard Bailey Oehmig notched nine points and nine rebounds, while junior forward Ali Lister also scored nine.
Lister and Wright both dished off four assists.
Blocker's 24 points, tied for her second-highest output of the season, lifted her career total to 919. She moved ahead of three players to 18th place on the program's all-time scoring list.

Jania Pitts added 12 points, while sophomore forward
Taja Brown grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.
The Nittany Lions shot 24-for-59 (40.7 percent) from the floor and held a 41-35 advantage off the boards. Rutgers-Camden shot 17-for-49 (34.7) from the floor.
The Scarlet Raptors resume New Jersey Athletic Conference action on Saturday when they host Ramapo College at 1 p.m.
