GLASSBORO, N.J. (Dec. 4, 2024) – The Rowan University women's basketball team outscored Rutgers University-Camden, 53-18, over the middle two quarters and went on to defeat the Scarlet Raptors, 78-44, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game here Wednesday night.
Rowan improves to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the NJAC with its 11th straight win over Rutgers-Camden since Jan. 24, 2018. Rutgers-Camden falls to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

Na'Caia Jackson, taking a 14-13 lead into the second quarter. In the second quarter, however, Rowan took the lead for good, 17-16, on a layup by senior guard Kate Herlihy and built its advantage to 37-24 by halftime. Herlihy scored 14 first-half points for the Profs.
The Profs went on a huge 29-8 run in the third quarter to take a commanding 66-32 advantage into the final frame.
Herlihy scored 16 points to pace three Profs in double figures. She also added three assists and a game-high four steals. Junior guard Jess McLaughlin netted 12 points and junior forward Charlotte Carlies added 11 for Rowan, which placed 12 players in the scoring column.

Taylor Hinson all scored six points. Hinson and Brown both added eight rebounds.

Kaylen Battle notched five points for the Scarlet Raptors and Edmundo led the team with three steals.
The Scarlet Raptors shot 16-for-61 (26.2 percent) from the floor and 8-for-17 (47.1) from the line, while Rowan shot 26-for-61 (42.6) from the floor and 21-for-28 (75.0) from the foul line. Both teams had 42 rebounds.
The Scarlet Raptors entertain Ramapo College on Saturday for a 1 p.m. NJAC game.
