EWING, N.J. (March 24, 2024) – The Rutgers University-Camden women's team had the tough task of facing The College of New Jersey in its first New Jersey Athletic Conference match of the spring and the perennial conference champions swept past the Scarlet Raptors, 9-0.
TCNJ, the 35th-ranked team in Division III, has swept all 15 matches it has played against Rutgers-Camden in the Raptors' history. The Lions improved to 8-1 overall and 1-0 in the NJAC.
Rutgers-Camden fell to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

Katie Moore and
Ashton Sirko played the closest match of the day for Rutgers-Camden, dropping an 8-2 decision. Both the second and third doubles teams lost, 8-0, with freshman
Bella Martinez and junior
Jayde Sue Silva playing at the second spot and freshmen
Alyssa Peacock and
Nicoletta Troilo competing at third doubles.
Moore, Sirko and Martinez all managed one point in their singles matches, with Moore losing at the top spot (6-0, 6-1) and both Sirko and Martinez dropping 6-1, 6-0 decisions at the second and third spots, respectively. Rutgers-Camden lost 6-0, 6-0 at the last three singles spots, with Silva playing at the fourth flight, Peacock competing at fifth singles and Troilo playing in the sixth spot.
The Scarlet Raptors return to action Friday and Saturday, playing road matches at Cedar Crest College (3:30 p.m.) and Arcadia University (1 p.m.), respectively.
