Raptors compete on first day of Paul Donahue Invitational
CHESTER, Penn. (April 19, 2024) – The Rutgers University-Camden outdoor track teams sent a small group of athletes to compete on the opening day of the Paul Donahue Invitational here Friday at Widener University.
While most of the events will be held Saturday at the Widener meet, where the full Raptor team will compete, Rutgers-Camden had five athletes at the event Friday.
Senior
Alexis Marini finished 10th of 29 in the women's discus (36.13 meters) and 24th of 52 in the shot put (9.72). Sophomore
Rabiyatu Sow also competed in the shot put, finishing 45th (7.35 meters).
Three athletes competed for the Scarlet Raptor men, including junior
Amir Lindor and freshman
Dyheim Watson in the 51-athlete shot put competition. Lindor finished 34th (11.27 meters) and Watson was 38th (10.98 meters).
Also competing was sophomore
Brandon Butts, who finished 21st of the 21 athletes competing in the triple jump (11.07 meters).
