OWINGS MILLS, Maryland (Oct. 25, 2025) – The Rutgers University-Camden volleyball team made the long road trip to Maryland here Saturday for a tri-match against two strong teams.
Rutgers-Camden lost to powerful Lynchburg in three close sets, 21-25, 25-27 and 20-25 before playing in its 12th five-set match of the season and losing to host Stevenson, 9-25, 25-23, 27-25, 16-25 and 9-15.
In the first match of the day, Lynchburg swept Stevenson in three sets, 25-10, 25-15 and 25-21.
The Scarlet Raptors play their final New Jersey Athletic Conference game of the season on Tuesday when they host Stockton University in a 7 p.m. game.
Lynchburg 3, Rutgers-Camden 0
Lynchburg, which received votes toward the Division III Top 25 last week, swept past the Scarlet Raptors, but Rutgers-Camden put up a strong effort against the 22-2 Hornets.
Graduate setter Mya Green and junior setter Alexis Scipione had 11 and 10 assists, respectively, for the Hornets, while graduate outside hitter Kate Hardie led the team with eight kills. junior middle Ava Meinhardt had six kills and four blocks (one solo, three assisted) for Lynchburg.

Stevenson 3, Rutgers-Camden
After losing the opening set, 25-9, Rutgers-Camden outlasted the Mustangs, 25-23, in a tight second set, clinching the set on a kill by Pansa Johnson, assisted by Andrews. The Raptors won the third set, 27-25, with their final two points coming on a kill by Granieri and a Stevenson attack error.
After the Mustangs (14-10) tied the match with a 25-16 win in the fourth set, they led all the way in the decisive fifth set, posting a 15-9 victory. The loss dropped the Raptors' record to 9-17 overall and 4-8 in five-set matches.
Sophomore outside hitter Rachel Lenz paced the Mustangs with 17 kills and five aces, while completing a double-double with 15 digs. Junior defensive specialist Isabella Terra led the team with 19 digs, while sophomore setter Courtney Foose and junior setter Declyn Tooze notched 24 and 21 assists, respectively.

Ella Carmen Truitt notched a double-double of 10 kills and 10 digs for Rutgers-Camden, while Granieri also added 10 kills. Pensa Johnson had nine kills.
Andrews had 20 assists and Owens notched 20 digs to lead the Scarlet Raptors.
