Rutgers-Camden track teams compete at Danny Curran Invitational
CHESTER, Penn. (March 29, 2025) – Junior
Jacob Dinerman had a first-place finish in the men's 1,500-meter run as the Rutgers University-Camden outdoor track team competed here Saturday on the final day of the two-day Danny Curran Invitational.
Dinerman posted a PR time of 3:53.82 to finish first in a field of 116 runners, not far off the program record of 3:52.89 set by Frank Iwanicki in 2010.
Sophomore
Hector Diaz finished 24th of 46 in the 110-meter hurdles (16.67), while freshman
Kristopher Ewell established his PR of 49.41 in his first time running the 400-meter dash outside. He finished 19th of 109 athletes, while fellow freshman
Josiah Saint Elien placed 56th (a PR of 52.22).
In the 100-meter dash field of 153 athletes, sophomore
Robert Bayard finished 35th with a PR of 11.29.
Sophomore
Dyheim Watson placed 19th of 28 in the hammer throw with a PR of 41.89 meters.
In the 28-team field of the men's 4x400, Rutgers-Camden finished seventh in a time of 3:23.27, with a team of junior
Walter Pierce, Saint Elien, Ewell and Dinerman.
On the women's side, junior
Deleon Foster finished 43rd of 92 in the 100-meter dash (13.74) and 78th of 124 athletes in the 200-meter dash (a PR of 28.89). Junior
Sophia LaPorta finished 58th in the 100-meter dash with a PR of 14.23.
Junior
Kayla Franklin finished 13th of 31 in the javelin (30.06 meters), while senior
Francis Hill set a PR of 27.12 and finished 20th.
Foster also joined junior
Angelina Cellucci and sophomores
A'Maya Stanard and
Matogoma Meite on the women's 4x400 team, which placed 14th of 15 (4:42.74).
The Scarlet Raptors will compete at the two-day Ursinus College Track and Field Festival on Friday and Saturday.
