GLASSBORO, N.J. (April 22, 2025) – Rutgers University-Camden senior left fielder
Emily Dubiago collected her 100th career hit here Tuesday, but the nationally-ranked Rowan University softball team swept a New Jersey Athletic Conference doubleheader from the Scarlet Raptors, 9-1 in six innings and 9-2.
Rutgers-Camden fell to 4-29 overall and 2-14 in the conference. Rowan, ranked second nationally in Division III, improved to 37-1 overall and 15-1 in the NJAC.
Dubiago became the 15th player in program history to reach the 100-hit milestone with a two-run second-inning double in the nightcap. Senior first baseman
Luci Hutchinson, meanwhile, collected her 99th career hit with a sixth-inning single in the opening game.
The Scarlet Raptors close their season Saturday when they host NJAC rival Rutgers-Newark in a 1 p.m. Senior Day doubleheader. Rutgers-Camden will celebrate a trio of seniors in Dubiago, Hutchinson and catcher

Rowan 9, Rutgers-Camden 1
The Profs scored four runs on five hits in the bottom of the sixth inning to end the game on the eight-run mercy rule. A bases-loaded RBI single by senior center fielder McKenzie Melvin plated the ninth and final run.
Rowan scored a run in the first and two more in the second inning, which proved to be more than enough for senior pitcher Rylee Lutz, who three a seven-hitter, walking one and striking out two. She raised her record to 16-0, allowing only a run in the sixth inning, sparked by singles from freshman center fielder
Ryleigh Lender and Hutchinson. Following a double play, sophomore designated hitter
Devyn Jordan broke the shutout bid with an RBI single, plating Lender.
Jordan finished the game 3-for-3 with the one RBI, while Lender was 2-for-3 and scored the Raptors' lone run.
Rowan's 12-hit attack included two hits apiece by junior left fielder Abigail Pawlowski, senior second baseman Liz McCaffery, senior center fielder McKenzie Melvin, fifth-year shortstop Payton MacNair and junior catcher Katie Evick. Pawlowski collected three RBIs, including two on a second-inning single.
Rowan 9, Rutgers-Camden 2
In the second game, a trio of Rowan pitchers held Rutgers-Camden to six hits and just the two runs doubled home by Dubiago in the second inning. That double gave Rutgers-Camden a short-lived 2-1 lead before the Profs scored three times in the bottom of the second inning. Pawlowski had a two-run double in that rally.
Melvin and both Payton MacNair and sophomore right fielder Zara MacNair had two hits apiece for the Profs.
