CAMDEN, N.J. (Sept. 20, 2025) – The Rutgers University-Camden women's tennis team raised its record to 3-0 as it swept past Cedar Crest College, 7-0, here Saturday.
The season start is the best for the Scarlet Raptors since opening the 2021-22 season with 11 straight wins. It was the season opener for Cedar Crest, 0-1.
Rutgers-Camden opened the match by earning the one point in doubles play, sweeping all three doubles matches. At the top flight, freshman twin sisters
Gabby Albert and
Grace Albert posted a 6-1 victory. The Raptors earned 6-0 wins at both the second doubles spot (sophomores
Jilliane Jaugan and
Grace Albert) and third flight (senior
Katie Moore and freshman
Leila O'Brien).
In singles play, the Raptors won by 6-0, 6-0 scores in five of the six matches, with
Gabby Albert at the first flight, Jaugan at second singles,
Grace Albert at third singles,
Bella Albert at the fourth spot and O'Brien playing sixth singles. At fifth singles, Moore posted a 6-0, 2-3 (retired) victory.
The women return to action on Friday when they host Eastern University at 3:30 p.m.
