CAMDEN, N.J. (Sept. 26, 2025) – The Rutgers University-Camden women's tennis team swept past Eastern University, 7-0, in a non-conference match here Friday to raise its record to 4-0.
It was the opening match of the fall for Eastern, which brought only five players, so it had to forfeit matches at sixth singles and third doubles.
The Scarlet Raptors won the two contested doubles matches, with freshmen
Gabby Albert and
Bella Albert winning a 6-0 decision at the top flight and sophomores
Grace Albert and
Jilliane Jaugan earning a 6-1 win at second doubles. At third doubles, senior
Katie Moore and freshman
Leila O'Brien won by forfeit.
At first singles,
Gabby Albert posted a 6-1, 6-2 victory, while Jaugan won a 6-3, 6-0 decision at the second spot and
Grace Albert earned a 6-3, 6-0 win at third singles.
Bella Albert captured a 6-0, 6-1 win at fourth singles and Moore swept the fifth flight, 6-0, 6-0. O'Brien won by forfeit at the sixth singles spot.
The women return to action on Saturday with a 12 p.m. match at Penn State-Abington
