Maine-Farmington (0-1) tied the game in the top of the third, but Rutgers-Camden bounced back with a run in the bottom of the frame on a double by Baker and an RBI single by sophomore designated player Madi Carr.

That 2-1 lead held up until the top of the sixth inning, when a pair of singles and a sacrifice set up a two-run single by sophomore first baseman Lisa Truchin. The Beavers added an unearned run in the seventh inning to take a 4-2 lead before Rutgers-Camden rallied for the win.
