Match Recap: Women's Tennis |

Women's tennis team advances to NJAC final with 4-0 win over Kean

SEWELL, N.J. (April 22, 2026) – The second-seeded Rutgers University-Camden women's tennis team advanced to the New Jersey Athletic Conference final for the first time here Wednesday night as it defeated third-seeded Kean University, 4-0, in a semifinal match at Atkinson Park in Sewell.

The win hikes the Scarlet Raptors' record to 12-4, while Kean closes its season at 8-5.

The NJAC playoff win was the first for the Scarlet Raptors since a quarterfinal victory over New Jersey City on May 1, 2021. Since then, the Raptors lost in five consecutive conference semifinals before Wednesday's win.

The victory sets up a championship match at The College of New Jersey Saturday at 12 p.m. TCNJ, which has won every NJAC match it has ever played, is 18-0 against Rutgers-Camden since the Raptors revived their tennis program in 2011, including a 7-0 win at TCNJ on April 18.

Rutgers-Camden clinched the one point for doubles (a best-of-three competition for one point) by winning its first two doubles matches. At first doubles, freshmen Bella Albert and Gabby Albert posted a 6-2 victory, while the second doubles team of sophomores Jilliane Jaugan and Grace Albert wrapped up the point for doubles by posting a 6-0 win. At third doubles, the team of senior co-captain Katie Moore and freshman Leila O'Brien were ahead, 4-3, when their match ended.

Rutgers-Camden wrapped up its victory with the results of the first three singles matches to be completed. Bella Albert posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at fourth singles and Jaugan won, 6-1, 6-0 at second singles, leaving the Scarlet Raptors one win away from clinching the match. That win came at fifth singles, when Moore posted a 6-1, 6-1 victory.

In the unfinished matches, Gabby Albert was leading, 6-2, 3-0 at first singles when Rutgers-Camden clinched the match. Grace Albert was in a 6-0, 3-4 match at third singles and O'Brien was leading at sixth singles, 6-3, 4-0.
