CENTER VALLEY, Penn. (April 9, 2026) – A trio of DeSales University pitchers combined on a 5-0 shutout in the first game of a softball doubleheader here Thursday and freshman Brianna Bauscher hurled a five-inning complete game in the nightcap as the Bulldogs swept Rutgers University-Camden, 10-2.
The sweep leaves the Scarlet Raptors with a 7-13 record, while DeSales improves to 11-12.
The Scarlet Raptors travel to Rutgers-Newark for a 1 p.m. conference doubleheader on Saturday.

Junior Jackie Capers (2-5) hurled five innings of three-hit ball, walking three and striking out three, while sophomore Ava DiDonato and senior Riley Long each hurled a scoreless inning to complete the shutout.
DeSales scored all the runs it needed off freshman
Natalie D'Angelo, who allowed a run in the first and a run in the third. D'Angelo (2-2) worked 2.2 innings, allowing four hits, two earned runs and two walks, while striking out one.
The Bulldogs added three runs in the fifth inning off junior
Sammie Friel.
Sophomore second baseman Gianna Angermeier led off the bottom of the first inning with a triple and scored on a sacrifice fly by junior right fielder Kiara Castera to put DeSales ahead for good.
Castera finished the game going 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs, while Angermeier went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Alana Gannon went 2-for-3 to account for half of Rutgers-Camden's hits.

In the second game, DeSales scored four runs apiece in both the first and second innings off Raptor junior

Bauscher (6-2), meanwhile, kept the Scarlet Raptors off the scoreboard until Rutgers-Camden tallied a pair of runs in the fifth inning. Junior shortstop

Kali Baker spoiled the shutout bid with an RBI triple. Baker scored on a single by junior second baseman

Bauer went 2-for-3 in the game for Rutgers-Camden. She finished the doubleheader with three hits, hiking her career total to 87.
A trio of Bulldogs had two hits apiece, including junior third baseman Paige Hromin (2-for-2, two runs, three RBIs), senior left fielder Ava Goodman (2-for-2) and Angermeier (2-for-2 with two RBIs).
