John Tatem (Camden, NJ/Pennsauken Tech)

John Tatem has had a fine start in his first year of basketball at Rutgers-Camden, and the sophomore guard/forward set career highs in points and rebounds as the Scarlet Raptors won their only game of the week, 77-76, over Eastern University Dec. 16. Tatem scored a team-high 19 points and added seven rebounds and one assist in the win. He shot 8-for-10 from the floor, including 2-for-2 from three-point range, and was 1-for-3 from the foul line. In the Raptors’ eight games this season, Tatem is averaging 8.0 points and 3.4 rebounds, while shooting 30-for-57 (.526) from the floor.
