ALLENTOWN, PA (Sept. 17, 2013) – The Rutgers-Camden women's tennis team earned another victory today over Cedar Crest College. The Scarlet Raptors beat the Falcons 8-1.
Rutgers-Camden took all three doubles matches over Cedar Crest College.
Amanda Hickman (Millville, NJ/Millville) and
Jordan Crawley (Sicklerville, NJ/Timber Creek) won 8-5 in the first spot. In the second spot,
Avery Forte (Pitman, NJ/Pitman) and
Kelly Bates (Pitman, NJ/Pitman) won 8-2.
Kelsey Mercer (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) and
Amy Tung (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill) beat their opponents 8-1 in third doubles.
The Scarlet Raptors controlled singles play with 5 wins.
Amanda Hickman won 6-0, 6-0 in the first spot.
Kelsey Mercer won 6-2, 6-1 in the third spot. In the fourth spot,
Amy Tung swept he opponent 6-0, 6-0.
Avery Forte won 6-1, 6-1 in the fifth spot.
Kelly Bates won 6-1, 6-0 in the sixth spot.
Rutgers-Camden (5-3, NJAC 1-1) will host Misericordia University on Saturday, Sept. 21st.
