LANGHORNE, PA (Sept. 25, 2013) – The Rutgers-Camden women's tennis program beat Cairn University 8-1.
The Scarlet Raptors won all three doubles matches over the Highlanders.
Amanda Hickman (Millville, NJ/Millville) and
Jordan Crawley (Sicklerville, NJ/Timber Creek) won 8-3 in the first spot.
Avery Forte (Pitman, NJ/Pitman) and
Kelly Bates (Pitman, NJ/Pitman) won 8-4 as the No. 2 duo. At third doubles,
Kelsey Mercer (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) and
Amy Tung (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill) won 8-0.
In singles action, Rutgers-Camden won all five matches.
Amanda Hickman won 6-0, 6-0 in the first spot.
Kelsey Mercer won 6-0, 6-1 in the third spot. In the fourth spot,
Amy Tung swept her opponent 6-0, 6-0.
Avery Forte won 6-1, 6-1 in the fifth spot. At sixth singles,
Kelly Bates won 6-0, 6-1.
Rutgers-Camden (6-5, NJAC 1-2) will host to Rider University on Thursday, Sept. 26th.
