Scarlet Raptors roll past Might Macs

IMMACULATA, PA (Sept. 4, 2013) - The Rutgers-Camden women's tennis rolled past Immaculata University, 8-1.



Amanda Hickman (Millville, NJ/Millville) and Morgan Kelly (Sicklerville, NJ/Paul IV) won 8-2 in the first spot. Avery Forte (Pitman, NJ/Pitman) and Kelly Bates (Pitman, NJ/Pitman) won 9-7 as the No. 2 duo. At third doubles, Kelsey Mercer (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) and Amy Tung (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill) won 8-2.



In singles action, Rutgers-Camden won five matches over the Might Macs. Amanda Hickman swept her opponent won 6-0, 6-0 in the first spot. At the No. 2 spot, Morgan Kellywon 6-2, 6-1. Kelsey Mercer won 6-0, 6-2 in the third spot. In the fourth spot, Avery Forte won 2-6, 6-0 (retired). Kelly Bates won 6-1, 6-0 in the sixth spot.


Rutgers-Camden (2-2, NJAC 0-0) will host Ramapo College on Friday, Sept. 6 at 3:30pm.
