CAMDEN, NJ – The Rutgers-Camden men's tennis team beat Keuka College this afternoon to secure the Scarlet Raptors as the NEAC West Regular Season Champions. The men's tennis team will also enter the NEAC West Men's Tournament as the number one seed.
The Scarlet Raptors swept beat the Storm 9-to-0. To open the match, the Scarlet Raptors won all three matches in doubles play.
Onkar Singh and
Drew Delengowski were able to put Rutgers-Camden on the board with an 8-3 victory in the first spot.
Joseph Tyrell and
Kevin Ziemba won 8-2 in the second spot. At third doubles,
Lloyd Pearson and
Terry Long won 8-0.
In singles action,
Terry Long won 6-0, 6-3 in the first spot
. Onkar Singh won 6-1, 6-2 in the second spot.
Kevin Ziemba won 6-0, 6-1 in the third spot.
Lloyd Pearson came out on top in the fourth spot 6-1, 6-1. In the fifth spot,
Drew Delengowski won 6-1, 6-0.
Joseph Tyrell finished off his opponent 6-2, 6-0 in the sixth spot.
Rutgers-Camden (6-5, NEAC 4-0) will travel to Bryn Athyn College on Wednesday, April 23
rd.
