The Scarlet Raptors dropped a 7-2 decision against William Paterson University here Sunday at RiverWinds Golf and Tennis Club in the final New Jersey Athletic Conference match of the campaign. Although that victory helped the Pioneers finish one game ahead of the Raptors in the NJAC standings, it didn't dampen the Senior Day celebration as the Scarlet Raptors honored their all-time victory leader  Amanda Hickman (Millville, NJ/Millville).

Rutgers-Camden finished its season at 1-10 overall and 1-5 in the NJAC, while Paterson closed at 1-9 and 2-4.

The Scarlet Raptors' two victories came at the second and third singles spots, with sophomore Angela Errigo (Shamong, NJ/Seneca) posting a 6-0, 6-1 decision at second singles and junior Christine Abacan (Collingswood, NJ/Collingswood) winning 6-0, 6-2 at third singles. Errigo finished with a 5-6 record at second singles this season, while Abacan posted a 5-4 mark at third singles.

Hickman, facing another one of the top players in the NJAC in Paterson's Brittany LaBruna (Bloomingdale, NJ/Continental Academy), dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision at first singles. Hickman and Errigo lost, 8-4, at first doubles.

Hickman ended her stellar career with a record of 44-12 in singles, 34-20 in doubles and 78-32 overall, holding the program's victory marks in each category. She went 7-4 in first singles and 6-5 in first doubles this season.
