MAHWAH, N.J. (Feb. 8, 2017) – The nationally-ranked Ramapo College men's basketball team went on an early 11-point run on its way to a 19-point halftime lead and the Roadrunners went on to defeat Rutgers University-Camden, 87-64, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game here Wednesday night.

D3hoops.com Top 25 poll, improve to 21-2 overall and 14-2 in the conference. The Roadrunners have won their last four games against the Scarlet Raptors and lead the all-time series, 47-15.
Rutgers-Camden falls to 5-18 overall and 2-14 in the conference.
Ramapo, which never trailed in the game, exchanged field goals with Rutgers-Camden to start the contest before ripping off 11 straight points to grab a 13-2 lead. Midway through the half, the Roadrunners were up 28-11 on their way to a 45-26 halftime bulge.
Junior forward
Christopher Moseley (Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) led 12 Roadrunners in the scoring column with 16 points. Senior forward
Sultan Aminu (Old Bridge, NJ/Old Bridge) added 12 points and a game-high nine rebounds as Ramapo held a 35-29 advantage off the boards.
Freshman guard
Patrick Peterson (Blauvelt, NY/Tappan Zee) added 10 points for the Roadrunners, who shot 33-for-65 (50.8 percent) from the field, including 6-for-15 (40.0) from three-point range. They were 15-for-20 (75.0) from the foul line.
Rutgers-Camden received 18 points from sophomore forward/center
Isaac Destin (Woodlynne, NJ/Collingswood). Junior guard
Charlie Riccardi (Mullica Hill, NJ/St. Joseph-Hammonton) and sophomore guard
Elijah Robles (Clifton, NJ/Clifton) added 14 points apiece. Riccardi and Destin had seven rebounds apiece to tie for the team lead, while Riccardi added a game-high four steals. He also added three assists, tying for team-high honors with junior guard
Shafeek Taylor (Philadelphia, PA/Mathematics, Civics and Sciences Charter School).
Riccardi's rebounds, assists and steals all set career highs.
The Scarlet Raptors shot 23-for-52 (44.2) from the field overall, but only 2-for-14 (14.3) from three-point range. They were 16-for-22 (72.7) from the foul line.
Rutgers-Camden hosts William Paterson University Saturday in a 3 p.m. NJAC game.
