Box Score 2 CAMDEN, N.J. (Oct. 13, 2018) – The Rutgers University-Camden volleyball team hiked its winning streak to three straight matches here Saturday as it defeated both Gwynedd Mercy University and St. Joseph's College-Long Island, 3-1, during a non-conference tri-match.
Rutgers-Camden, which hiked its record to 9-12, defeated Gwynedd Mercy by scores of 25-19, 25-17, 17-25 and 25-19. The Raptors toppled St. Joseph's-Long Island, 25-22, 19-25, 25-20 and 25-13.
In the other match, St. Joseph's swept Gwynedd Mercy, 25-18, 25-17 and 25-16.
The Scarlet Raptors return to action Tuesday when they host Ramapo College in a New Jersey Athletic Conference match at 7 p.m.

Junior outside hitter
Morgan Mulligan had 17 kills and hit .260, while senior middle hitter
Myiah Gatling and junior outside hitter
Jamie Mulligan both added eight kills toward the Scarlet Raptors' team total of 53. Gatling hit .400.
Freshman outside hitter
Delaney Kolb notched seven kills and junior outside hitter
Jordan Erskine contributed six kills to the Raptors' potent attack.

Kayla Benesz (pictured above) set up the Raptors' offense with 25 and 19 assists, respectively. Freshman libero
Morgan Fox collected 25 digs, while
Morgan Mulligan had 24 and Benesz added 12.
Morgan Mulligan also had two of the Raptors' five service aces.
Rutgers-Camden had one solo block and 16 assisted blocks, led by freshman middle hitter
Ava D'Ambrosio, who had the lone solo block and assisted on six others.

The Scarlet Raptors won the last two sets to capture the match after they had split the opening two sets with the Golden Eagles. Rutgers-Camden won by 25-22, 19-25, 25-20 and 25-13.
Morgan and
Jamie Mulligan both notched 13 kills, with Jamie hitting .383 along the way. Gatling added 11 kills and hit .500 for the Raptors, who totaled 50 kills as a team.
Hassan led the way with 21 assists and six service aces, while Benesz notched 14 assists and nine digs.
Freshman
Haley Novak had a team-high 12 digs, while
Morgan Mulligan collected 10 and Fox added eight.
Morgan Mulligan also added three service aces.
D'Ambrosio led the block party, notching three solo blocks and four assisted blocks. Erskine added one solo block and two assisted blocks.
With eight kills on the day, Erskine moved up to eighth on the program's career list with 520, while
Morgan Mulligan moved up to 10th with 491 career kills after collecting 30.
Jamie Mulligan, who is seventh on the career list, had 21 kills in the tri-match to hike her total to 606.
