CAMDEN, N.J. (Oct. 28, 2025) – The Rutgers University-Camden volleyball team trailed only once in a non-conference match here Thursday as it raced past Keystone College in three straight sets, 25-8, 25-15 and 25-10.
 
The win lifted the Scarlet Raptors to 10-18 overall, while Keystone fell to 3-22.
 
The Scarlet Raptors set the tone early, scoring the first three points on kills by freshman middle blocker 
Jana Jovanovic and senior setter 
Avery Ang, along with a Keystone attack error. After the Giants cut their gap to 4-2, the Scarlet Raptors ran off nine straight points to turn the set into a runaway. Ang, sophomore middle blocker 
Gabby Gbolahan and sophomore outside hitter 
Taylor White had three kills apiece in the set, while junior libero 
Mia Owens had four aces and four digs and junior setter 
JoAnna Andrews contributed five assists.
 
In the second set, Rutgers-Camden jumped off to a 2-0 start on a kill by Jovanovic and a Keystone attack error. The Scarlet Raptors never trailed in this set either as they rolled to a 25-15 victory, with freshman outside hitter 
Asha Pensa Johnson doing the honors with a set-clinching kill.
 
The Giants took their only lead of the match to open the third set, scoring on a bad set and an attack error by the Scarlet Raptors to grab a 2-0 advantage. Junior outside hitter 
Sofia Granieri broke that small run with a kill, sparking the Scarlet Raptors on a six-point run that included two kills by White. The closest the Giants came after that was a 6-5 deficit, but Rutgers-Camden ran off the next 10 points. The Raptors wrapped up the set and the match on a kill by junior defensive specialist 
Madison Snelgrove.
 
Owens finished with nine service aces, tied for the fourth-highest total in program history for a three-set match, while adding 12 digs. Ang notched her 13th double-double of the season with 13 assists and 10 digs, while adding seven kills.
 
White led the Scarlet Raptors with nine kills, Jovanovic had six kills and Gbolahan added five kills. Andrews notched 12 assists and three aces, while Snelgrove had nine digs.
 
The Scarlet Raptors close their season with a home tri-match Sunday. They face Medgar Evers College at 12 p.m. and St. Joseph's University-Brooklyn at 4 p.m. Between those matches, Medgar Evers plays St. Joseph's-Brooklyn at 2 p.m.
