COLLEGEVILLE, Penn. (Sept. 3, 2019) – The Ursinus College women's volleyball team rallied from a 24-20 deficit in the third set to edge Rutgers University-Camden and sweep a non-conference match here Tuesday.
Ursinus (1-2) won by scores of 25-21, 25-17 and 27-25 as junior Rachel Girard notched a triple double of 10 kills, 13 assists and 10 digs.
Rutgers-Camden, 1-3, received 13 digs from
Haley Novak and 10 from
Morgan Fox, a pair of sophomores. Novak also added two aces.
Sophomores
Kayla Benesz and
Brinn Hassan notched six assists apiece, while Benesz added six digs and Hassan had four digs and two kills.
Sophomore
Devyn Cobb, fresh off an all-tournament team berth at the weekend DeSales University Invitational, collected six kills and four digs, while senior tri-captain
Jamie Mulligan notched five digs and two kills. Both Mulligan and Cobb had four blocks apiece – one solo block and three assisted blocked each.

Delaney Kolb added four kills and senior
Jordan Erskine collected three, while sophomore
Savannah Hayes notched five digs.
The Scarlet Raptors entertain Delaware Valley University at 7 p.m. Thursday in their home opener.
