BALTIMORE, Md. (Oct. 6, 2021) – Freshman midfielder
Alyson Petro made her first career goal a game winner to lead the Rutgers University-Camden women's soccer team over Goucher College, 1-0, in a non-conference game here Wednesday night.
The victory was the second straight for the Scarlet Raptors, who improve to 3-6-1. Goucher falls to 4-6.
Rutgers-Camden improved to 2-0-1 in its all-time series against Goucher.
The Scarlet Raptors pounded 22 shots around the Goucher net, including 10 shots on goal. The only one to find the back of the net, however, came from Petro at 24:56, assisted by junior midfielder

Petro finished with seven of the Raptors' shots, including three on goal.
While Rutgers-Camden was launching 22 shots, the Raptors' defense limited the Gophers to only six shots, including three on goal. Rutgers-Camden sophomore goalie

For Goucher, sophomore goalie Jenna Abaza had nine saves.
Rutgers-Camden returns to action on Saturday when it plays a 1 p.m. New Jersey Athletic Conference game at Ramapo College.
