CAMDEN, N.J. (Feb. 14, 2021) – Rutgers University-Camden senior
Jude Misko is more than just one of the top weight throwers in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
Misko is one of the top throwers in the region, and he's gearing up to make a mark at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships this spring.
Due to the pandemic, it has been a long time since Misko had the chance to prove his talents on the collegiate level, since the 2020 outdoor season and the 2020-21 indoor track seasons were both cancelled due to COVID-19. Yet back in the "old normal" days, Misko captured both the NJAC and ECAC titles in the hammer throw during the 2019 outdoor track season, when he also earned USTFCCCA All-Atlantic Region honors. During the 2019-20 indoor track season, which ended shortly before the pandemic shutdown started, Misko captured the NJAC weight throw title to earn NJAC First Team honors. He added the weight throw championship at the ECAC meet.
In today's
Philadelphia Inquirer, writer Kevin Riordan pens a detailed story about Misko's training during the pandemic era and his goal of preparing for the NCAA Championships this spring. See
