GALLOWAY, N.J. (March 20, 2021) – Two members of the Rutgers University-Camden men's cross country team captured All-New Jersey Athletic Conference Second Team honors as the Scarlet Raptors competed in the NJAC Cross Country Championships Saturday at Stockton University.
Junior
Jason Hyland and sophomore
David Morrow earned All-NJAC honors in the 39-runner 8K men's race, which was won by Stockton's Cooper Knorr in a time of 18:31.7. Hyland finished 14th overall (27:45.5) and Morrow placed 17th (28:15.2).
The Rutgers-Camden men finished fourth among the four competing teams with 96 points, while the Scarlet Raptor women were fifth out of five teams (128). The College of New Jersey won both races, taking the women's competition with 18 points and the men's race with 29.
TCNJ's Salini Iyer won the 36-runner 6K women's race in a time of 24:02.1.
The all-conference berths for Hyland and Morrow were the first for a Rutgers-Camden male since
Joe Meehan earned NJAC Second Team in 2013. The last time the Scarlet Raptors had two or more All-NJAC runners was in 2008 when Jonathan Salamon and Travis Stewart both earned NJAC First Team honors and Frank Iwanicki was an all-conference Second Team performer.

Andrew Barnhardt finished 23rd (28:48.2), sophomore
Miguel Gisone was 33rd (31:52.1), senior
Sean Ward placed 38th (34:37.1) and junior
Vinny Maine was 39th (37:45.3).
For the Raptor women, freshman
Rebecca Savidge paced the team in a time of 29:34.7 to finish 25th overall.
Ashley Rafferty, a sophomore academically with freshman eligibility, finished 29th (33:33.8). A trio of athletes from the Rutgers-Camden lacrosse program, sophomore

Rachel Green, finished 32nd, 33rd and 34th in times of 36:59.1, 36:59.3 and 36:59.4. Junior
