WAYNE, NJ (April 20, 2021) – Two days after watching their long winning streak get snapped by perennial conference power The College of New Jersey, the Rutgers University-Camden women's tennis team was determined to get back to its winning ways here Tuesday night.

The Scarlet Raptors accomplished that task in a New Jersey Athletic Conference makeup match against William Paterson University as Rutgers-Camden recorded a 9-0 victory.

The event, which had been postponed from April 3, featured only six matches, due to the Pioneers' lack of numbers, with the Scarlet Raptors winning by default in three other matches. The win raises the Scarlet Raptors' record to 4-1 overall and 4-1 in the NJAC after a two-season, 11-match winning streak ended against TCNJ on Sunday. William Paterson falls to 0-5 overall and 0-5 in the NJAC.

The victory was the Raptors' fourth straight against William Paterson, knotting the all-time series at 5-5.

Freshman
Samantha Hoban posted a 6-0, 6-1 victory at first singles and combined with junior
LeAnne Hall to win, 8-1, at first doubles.

The Scarlet Raptors posted 6-0, 6-0 wins at second, third and fourth singles behind junior
Tiffany Trivers, Hall and sophomore
Alyna Cabrera, respectively.

Trivers and junior
Hannah Cohan combined for an 8-0 victory at second doubles.

Cohan and junior
Erica Steer won by default at fifth and sixth singles, respectively. Cabrera and Steer won at third doubles by default.

Trivers' singles win raised her career mark to 21 singles victories, tying for fourth place on the career list. Her 18th doubles win tied for fifth place for a career, while her 39 combined wins tied for third place. Hall, meanwhile, now owns 19 career singles wins (sixth on the all-time list), 19 doubles wins (tied for third) and 38 overall victories (fifth).

The Scarlet Raptors return to NJAC play Thursday when they host Stockton University in a 4 p.m. makeup match.
