CAMDEN, NJ (April 22, 2021) – The makeup match between the Rutgers University-Camden and Stockton University women's tennis teams here Thursday was basically to decide which team would be the second seed in the upcoming New Jersey Athletic Conference.
Stockton decided that issue with a 9-0 victory in a match that was postponed from April 11.
The Ospreys raised their record to 4-1 overall and in the NJAC with one match remaining on Friday. Rutgers-Camden will enter the NJAC playoffs after completing the regular season with a 4-2 overall record and 4-2 NJAC mark. The Raptors will host a quarterfinal match May 1.

Stockton, which is 9-1 in its all-time series against Rutgers-Camden, posted 8-0 victories in the first two doubles matches against the Raptor duos of freshman
Samantha Hoban and junior
LeAnne Hall and the combination of juniors
Tiffany Trivers and
Hannah Cohan, respectively. At third doubles, the Raptor duo of sophomore
Alyna Cabrera and junior
Erica Steer was defeated 8-2.
Hoban was defeated at first singles (6-0, 6-2), Trivers lost at second singles (6-1, 6-2) and Hall was swept at third singles (6-0, 6-0). Cabrera fell at fourth singles (6-0, 6-0), Cohan lost at fifth singles (6-2, 6-0) and Steer was defeated at sixth singles (6-1, 6-3).
