CENTER VALLEY, Pa. (Sept. 2, 2022) – The Rutgers University-Camden volleyball team opened its season here Friday night with a 3-0 loss against Stevenson University in the DeSales University Tournament.
The Mustangs scored the first seven points of the first set and went on to post a 25-13 victory. They won a narrow decision in the second set, 25-20, and wrapped up their win with a 25-12 third-set victory.
Outside hitter Molly Joyner led Stevenson with 10 kills, while setter Makala Thompson had 16 assists.

Dyamond Free paced Rutgers-Camden with seven and six kills, respectively, while senior setter
Brinn Hassan had a match-high 21 assists. Hassan and freshman defensive specialist
Bella Craig collected two aces apiece for the Raptors.

Morgan Fox led the team with eight digs, while Nebrich notched seven and Craig added six.
The Scarlet Raptors conclude their trip to the DeSales Tournament on Saturday with a pair of matches. They face host DeSales at 10 a.m. and Vassar College at 2 p.m.
