Watson leads track team at Danny Curran Invitational
CHESTER, Penn. (March 29, 2024) – Rutgers University-Camden freshman
Dyheim Watson finished 16th of 27 in the shot put (10.86 meters) and 26th of 30 in the discus (26.88 meters) as the Scarlet Raptors sent a few athletes to the first day of competition at the Danny Curran Invitational here Friday.
The event, held at Widener University, also saw Raptor sophomore
Brandon Butts finish 13th of 20 in the triple jump with a distance of 11.63 meters.
On the women's side, three Scarlet Raptors competed in the 37-athlete field of the shot put, with senior
Alexis Marini finishing 14th (9.63 meters), freshman
Kaitlyn Novak placing 16th and junior
Francis Hill finishing 21st (8.77 meters).
The Scarlet Raptors return to Chester, Pennsylvania on Saturday for the second day of the Danny Curran Invitational.
