CAMDEN, N.J. (Oct. 2, 2025) – The Rutgers University-Camden volleyball team ran into one of the top teams in the New Jersey Athletic Conference here Thursday night and the Kean University Cougars came away with a 3-0 sweep.
Kean won by scores of 25-19, 26-24 and 25-12.
Rutgers-Camden falls to 4-9 overall and 0-3 in conference play, while Kean improves to 15-2 overall and 2-0 in the NJAC.
Kean has won its last 17 meetings against Rutgers-Camden, including the last six and 10 of the last 11 by 3-0 scores.
The Cougars clinched the first set with the final two points coming on Raptor attack errors. In a tight second set, locked at 24-24, Kean went ahead on a kill by senior outside hitter Bella Stem and wrapped up the game on a Rutgers-Camden attack error.
In the final set, the Cougars took an early 5-2 lead and steadily pulled away,
Freshman outside hitter Ashley Torok led the Cougars with 14 kills, while junior middle hitter Cayley Elena Morrison had 11 kills and hit .688. Senior setter Aspen O'Brien notched 36 assists.

Avery Ang notched 12 assists.
Sophomore middle blocker
Gabby Gbolahan had three kills, hit .429 and added four digs, three block assists and two aces.
The Scarlet Raptors return to action Saturday in a tri-match at Alvernia University. The Scarlet Raptors face the host team at 11 a.m. and play Immaculata University at 1 p.m.
