Scarlet Raptors compete at NJAC Cross Country Championships
GALLOWAY, N.J. (Nov. 1, 2025) – Junior
Jacob Dinerman and freshman
Dejia Robert led the Rutgers University-Camden men's and women's cross country teams, respectively, as the Scarlet Raptors competed in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships here Saturday.
Dinerman placed 12th of 87 runners in an 8K time of 26:06.5, while Robert was 32nd out of 90 runners in a 6K time of 25:28.2.
TCNJ won the men's race with 22 points, led by Lions junior Brandon Chen, who won the race in a time of 24:56.6. Rowan captured the women's race with 41 points, with the Profs' senior Gabriella Pagano winning the race in a time of 21:56.4.
On the men's side, freshman
Jack Wessner finished second on the Raptors and 60th overall in a time of 29:46.6, while freshman
Dylan Davies was third on the team and 71st overall (31:38.7). Freshman
Joseph Simone finished fourth on the Scarlet Raptors and 77th overall (33:23.7), while junior
Angel Chaj placed fifth on the Raptors and 78th overall in a PR time of 33:36.4. Freshmen
Ajani Pinkett and
Jonathan Gomez finished 82nd and 83rd, respectively. Pinkett had a PR time of 38:41.2, while Gomez had a 39:43.6 clocking.
Running second to Robert on the women's side was senior
Xochitl Bautista-Castelan, who finished 71st overall (30:37.0). Junior
Lindsay Lopez Trejo placed third on the Raptors and 79th overall (34:09.2), while sophomore
Katelynn Aurelus placed 83rd overall in a time of 37:01.9. Junior
Mya Cabanas Montero posted a PR time of 37:56.7 to place fifth on the team and 85th overall and junior
Angelina Francis finished 86th in a PR time of 41:15.8.
Rutgers-Camden will compete in the NCAA Metro Regional Nov. 15 at the Gloucester County Dream Park in Logan Township.
