CAMDEN, N.J. (Dec. 2, 2025) – Throughout his four-year soccer career at Rutgers University-Camden, Eric Swen proved to be one of the top players in the New Jersey Athletic Conference and the entire NCAA Division III Region IV.
 
Swen was honored once again on Tuesday when he captured All-Region IV Third Team recognition from the United Soccer Coaches.
 
It was the third All-Region IV honor for Swen (Monrovia, Liberia/Blackwood, NJ/Highland Regional High School), who captured All-Region IV Second Team recognition the previous two seasons.
 
Last month, Swen captured NJAC First Team honors for the third straight season. He also earned NJAC Second Team honors as a freshman and was the NJAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore in 2023.
 
One of the Scarlet Raptors' four team captains in 2024, Swen started all of his 15 games this season. He appeared in 77 career games at Rutgers-Camden, starting 75, and playing a major role in 29 Scarlet Raptor shutouts over his four seasons. He also had nine career goals – three of them game winners – for 18 points. As a senior this past season, he scored three goals for six points.
 
A Dean's List student as a Computer Science major, Swen also earned NJAC Academic Honorable Mention and is a four-time member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director's Honor Roll. During the 2023 fall semester, he was one of only 22 athletes on the 151-member AD Honor Roll to earn a 4.0 GPA.
