CENTER VALLEY, Penn. (Aug. 29, 2025) – The Eastern University volleyball team swept past Rutgers University-Camden, 25-15, 25-17 and 25-9, as both teams opened their season here Friday at the DeSales University Invitational.
 
The Eagles received 12 kills and 13 digs from junior Alexis Standford, while senior Hannah Pringle had 11 kills and hit .333. Senior Viviana Fragoso and freshman Sarah Furey both added 11 digs, with Furey and junior Taylor Stone notching 14 assists apiece.
 
Rutgers-Camden received five kills apiece from sophomores Taylor White and Gabby Gbolahan,  while senior setter Avery Ang added four kills.
 
Junior setter JoAnna Andrews paced the Raptors with 13 assists.
 
Junior libero Mia Owens and freshman defensive specialist/libero Ella Carmen Truitt collected 11 and 10 digs, respectively.
 
Rutgers-Camden will face host DeSales University at 10 a.m. Saturday and battle Muhlenberg College at 12 p.m.
