CAMDEN, N.J. (Sept. 13, 2025) – After playing their first five matches on the road, the Rutgers University-Camden volleyball team finally had a taste of home cooking here Saturday. The Scarlet Raptors' home-opening tri-match turned out to be a successful one as they swept both Bryn Mawr College and Delaware Valley University in a tri-match.
In the other match of the day, Delaware Valley outlasted Bryn Mawr in five sets.
The Scarlet Raptors play another tri-match on Saturday, Sept. 20 when they travel to Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland. They face the home team at 11 a.m. and Lebanon Valley College at 1 p.m.

The Scarlet Raptors rolled to a sweep over the Owls by scores of 25-8, 25-18 and 25-17, led by nine digs, seven assists, six kills and one solo block from senior

JoAnna Andrews collected a team-high nine assists and added eight digs, two aces and one kill.

Jana Jovanovic added six kills, while hitting .455. Junior

Ella Carmen Truitt both had four service aces to account for eight of the Raptors' team total of 13.

The Scarlet Raptors swept past the Aggies, 25-14, 25-17 and 25-19.
Sophomore
Taylor White led the Scarlet Raptors with 10 kills. Sophomore
Gabby Gbolahan had nine kills and hit .444, while freshman
Asha Pensa Johnson also had nine kills.
Ang had a double-double of 21 assists and 12 digs, while Owens had a team-high 16 digs. Andrews added 14 assists and Truitt collected eight digs.
As a team, Rutgers-Camden collected 42 kills and hit .227.
