Women's Volleyball Compete in Knights Fall Classic

ASTON, PA - Rutgers-Camden traveled to Aston, Pennsylvania this weekend to compete in the Neumann University Knights Fall Classic.  The Scarlet Raptors started the tournament with a loss to Neumann University on Friday, Oct. 10th. Rutgers-Camden lost their first game on Saturday, Oct. 11th to The Catholic University of America. The final game of the Knights Fall Classic was against Emory & Henry College on Saturday, Oct. 11th.   The Wasps beat the Scarlet Raptors 3-0.

Rutgers-Camden opened against Neumann University on Friday at 7:00pm.  The Scarlet Raptors lost to the Knights 3-1 (25-16, 25-13, 21-25, and 25-17). 

Freshman Lauren Pace and Alexandra Griffin each had 4 kills. Griffin also notched 8 digs, a service ace and 2 block assists.

Setter Brooke Hassan recorded 9 assists, a dig, and a service ace, while freshman Erin Thompson had 8 assists and a dig. Caitlin Marchlowitz had a team high 15 digs and a service ace.

The Scarlet Raptors second game of the Knights Fall Classic was against The Catholic University of America. The Cardinals beat Rutgers-Camden 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, and 25-14).

Brooke Hassan notched 11 assists, 3 kills and a dig. Defensive Specialist Caitlin Marchlowitz had 13 digs, 2 kills and a service ace. Freshman Stacy Fletcher tallied 7 digs.

Sydney Allen notched 6 kills, a block assist, and 2 service aces.  Olivia Rowland had 5 kills and 3 blocks assists.
 
Rutgers-Camden 0 Emory & Henry College 3
 
Rutgers-Camden finished the Knights Fall Classic with a 3-to-0 loss to Emory & Henry College (25-13, 25-14, and 25-23). 

Junior Kristin Bellamy had a team high 6 kills. Olivia Rowland notched a kill, 2 solo blocks and 5 block assists.

Setter Brooke Hassan recorded 9 assists, 9 digs, and 2 kills, while Caitlin Marchlowitz had a team high 11 digs and a service ace.

Rowland was named to the Knights Fall Classic All-Classic Team.
