Rutgers-Camden leads the all-time series, 13-3, and has won the last four outings.
The Scarlet Raptors entered the game with a scoreless streak of 591:11, which included six consecutive shutouts, but they launched the first seven shots of the game against the Gothic Knights. The fourth shot found the net as sophomore midfielder
Aubrey Andrews (Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights) dribbled through several defenders on the far right wing. Her shot across the box bounced into the left side netting at 13:13 for her first goal of the season. It was the Raptors' first goal since senior
Casandra Torres (Mt. Holly, NJ/Doane Academy) scored in the second half of a 1-1 tie against William Paterson University on Sept. 19. It ended the Raptors' scoreless string at 604:24, the third-longest drought in program history and barely shy of the second-longest one of 605:52.
After NJCU took its first shot, the Raptors scored on their next opportunity. Junior forward
Catherine Fiore (Collingswood, NJ/Paul VI) tallied her team-leading fifth goal after she ran onto a ball played over the NJCU defense by freshman midfielder
Melissa Peel (Gibbstown, NJ/Gloucester County Institute of Technology). In a one-on-one against Gothic Knight senior goalie
Cassie Lubonski (Edison, NJ/Edison), Fiore finished into the left side of the goal.

Kylee Schairer (Collingswood, NJ/Collingswood) who padded the Raptor lead. Schairer, a transfer from Burlington County College, collected her first two goals as a Scarlet Raptor, scoring at 37:30 and at 40:57. On her first goal, she ran onto a punt by sophomore goalie
Katie Gurba (Westampton, NJ/Holy Cross), which bounced over the Gothic Knights' defense. Schairer collected her breakaway goal from 18 yards out, giving Gurba her first career assist.
Schairer's second goal was assisted by senior midfielder
Tori Gerstenacker (Howell, NJ/Howell) on a pass from the right wing into the middle of the box. Schairer one-timed a shot into the left side of the goal.
The Scarlet Raptors made it a 5-0 game early in the 83rd minute when freshman
Maggie Sande (Medford, NJ/Shawnee) sprung sophomore
Amber Cobb (Mullica Township, NJ/Cedar Creek) on a breakaway down the left wing. Cobb went one-on-one with Lubonski coming off the line, and scored her first goal of the season on an eight-yard shot.
While the Raptors held their 24-8 advantage in shots, the Gothic Knights had a 4-2 edge in corner kicks. Gurba made two saves to notch her second shutout of the season and the seventh of her career. Lubonski had eight saves for the Gothic Knights.
The Scarlet Raptors return to action Saturday when they host Rutgers-Newark in a 1 p.m. Senior Day game.
