Box Score MAHWAH, N.J. (Feb. 13, 2016) – The Ramapo College men's basketball team went on a 27-point run shortly after the game started here Saturday afternoon and went on to defeat Rutgers University-Camden, 89-64, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference contest.
Ramapo improves to 16-8 overall and 12-5 in the NJAC, while Rutgers-Camden falls to 3-21 and 1-16.
Ramapo leads the all-time series, 45-15.
Ramapo raced to a 46-25 halftime lead on its way to the victory. After Rutgers-Camden scored the first four points of the game, the Roadrunners rattled off 27 unanswered points and were never threatened from there. In the first 20 minutes, sophomore forward
Christopher Moseley (Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) had 12 points for Ramapo, on his way to a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds.
Senior forward
Frank Nock (Bridgeton, NJ/Bridgeton) finished with 20 points for the Roadrunners, while sophomore forward
Thomas Bonacum (Fanwood, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) added 18, 10 of them in the first half. In addition to Moseley, junior forward
Jermaine Pearl (Paterson, NJ/Paterson Catholic) became the Roadrunners' fourth player in double figures, netting 10 points.
Although Rutgers-Camden held a 50-37 advantage off the boards, the Scarlet Raptors made 31 turnovers, while Ramapo had only nine. The Roadrunners shot 44.9 percent from the field (18-for-39), while the Raptors shot 35.9 (23-for-64).
Rutgers-Camden received a game-high 21 points from senior guard
Jonathan Baker-Jernigan (Willingboro, NJ/BCIT-Medford), while senior guard/forward
John Tatem (Camden, NJ/Pennsauken Tech) collected his second double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Junior forward
Noah McFarlane (Camden, NJ/Camden Catholic) was a force off the boards for the Scarlet Raptors, pulling down a career-high 16 rebounds. He added six points.
Rutgers-Camden freshman guard
Elijah Robles (Clifton, NJ/Clifton) collected 10 points and a team-high five assists, while sophomore forward/center
Abby Bah (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield Memorial) scored eight points and added 10 boards.
