Emily Beenders (Rahway, NJ/Union County Tech) scored two goals to power the Red Hawks over Rutgers University-Camden, 3-1, here Saturday in a New Jersey Athletic Conference women's soccer game.
The victory lifts the Red Hawks to 3-3-2 overall and 2-0 in the NJAC, while Rutgers-Camden falls to 3-5 and 0-2. Montclair State is 19-0-1 in the all-time series against Rutgers-Camden.

Meghan Wachira (Plainsboro, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro North) put the Scarlet Raptors on the board with her team-leading sixth goal of the season. She controlled a through ball from senior forward
Cassidy McSorley (Haddon Township, NJ/Haddon Township) and found the net at 54:15. It was McSorley's first assist of the season and gave the Raptors their first goal against Montclair State since a 4-1 loss in Camden in 2014.

Rutgers-Camden returns to NJAC action Wednesday when it hosts one of the nation's top teams, The College of New Jersey, in a conference game at 7 p.m. The Lions are currently ranked third in the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III poll and fourth in the
