MONTCLAIR, N.J. (Feb. 14, 2018) – When the Rutgers University-Camden men's basketball team played Montclair State University last month in Camden, the Scarlet Raptors earned their only New Jersey Athletic Conference victory of the season.
The Red Hawks gained a measure of revenge in the rematch here Wednesday night, racing to a 30-point halftime lead on their way to an 89-65 victory over the Scarlet Raptors.
Montclair State, which will play a first-round NJAC playoff game Saturday, improves to 17-8 overall and 11-7 in the conference. Rutgers-Camden closes its season at 3-21 overall and 1-17 in the NJAC. That one NJAC win was a 72-71 decision over Montclair State in Camden on Jan. 10, behind 31 points from senior guard
Vincent Anfield Jr. (Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley).
Montclair State leads the all-time series, 53-10.
Montclair State was paced by the torrid shooting of senior forward
Jarrett Bogus (Middlesex, NJ/Middlesex), who collected a game-high 28 points. He had 23 points at halftime to help the Red Hawks take a 55-25 lead, shooting 10-for-12 from the field, including 2-for-2 from three-point range. For the game, Bogus shot 12-for-15 overall, including 2-for-3 from both three-point range and the foul line. He also added a game-high seven rebounds.

Daniel Ramis (Miami, FL/Westwood Christian) and senior guard
Jovanni Chatham (Brooklyn, NY/Christ the King) both added 12 points for Montclair State, while sophomore forward/center
Eddie Emedoh (Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) canned 11. Sophomore forward
Kaan Yilmaz (Izmir, Turkey/Geilisi) notched all 10 of his points in the first half for the Red Hawks.

Myles Mitchell-White (Trenton, NJ/Lawrence) collected a game-high 10 assists.
Rutgers-Camden received a career-high 23 points from senior guard
Charlie Riccardi (Mullica Hill, NJ/St. Joseph-Hammonton), including 6-for-9 shooting from three-point range. Riccardi,
pictured above, beat his old career high of 22 points, set on Jan. 17 against The College of New Jersey.
Riccardi's six treys gave him 97 for his three-year Scarlet Raptor career, tying for 10th on the program's all-time list. In 58 games at Rutgers-Camden, he collected 431 points (7.4 ppg).
Another senior guard, playing in his last game at Rutgers-Camden, was
Marcus Taylor (Somerdale, NJ/Sterling). Taylor notched 15 points to give him 740 for his four-year Raptor career. The contest was his 93rd at Rutgers-Camden, 10th on the program's career list. He also finished 10th in career assists with 191.
The Scarlet Raptors' third senior guard, Anfield, finished with six points, five rebounds, six assists, four steals and one blocked shot. In his only year at Rutgers-Camden, he averaged 12.8 points and he finished his four-year combined collegiate career with 1,320 points.
