CAMDEN, N.J. (March 18, 2018) – The Rutgers University-Camden men's tennis team picked up a pair of victories here Sunday, winning at fifth singles and third doubles, but the Scarlet Raptors lost a non-conference match against Brooklyn College, 7-2.
The Bulldogs improve to 2-0, while the Scarlet Raptors fall to 0-3.

Vatsal Patel (Runnemede, NJ/Triton Regional) capturing his first singles win, 6-3, 6-3, at the fifth spot. The team of senior

Shariq Khan (Atlantic City, NJ/Atlantic City) captured their first victory at third doubles (8-6).

Jake Collette-Nippins (Somerdale, NJ/Sterling) dropped a 2-6, 1-6 match at first singles, while freshman
Jose Vargas (South Bound Brook, NJ/Bound Brook) lost by a 0-6, 0-6 score at second singles. At the third flight, freshman
Matt Deak (South Brunswick, NJ/South Brunswick) was defeated, 0-6, 0-6. Khan lost 6-1, 5-7, 6-10 at fourth singles and Perez dropped a 3-6, 1-6 match at sixth singles.
Brooklyn won the first two doubles matches by scores of 8-1 and 8-6, respectively. Patel and Vargas played first doubles for the Scarlet Raptors, while Collette-Nippins teamed with Deak at second doubles.
Rutgers-Camden will play an 8 p.m. match Wednesday against Yeshiva University at the Binghamton Racquet Club in Edgewater, New Jersey.
