ALLENTOWN, Penn. (Sept. 15, 2018) – The Rutgers University-Camden women's tennis team entered Saturday's non-conference match at Cedar Crest College having had more matches postponed this season than had been completed.
Despite not playing an entire match since Sept. 6, however, the Scarlet Raptors swept Cedar Crest, 9-0, to raise their record to 2-1.
Rutgers-Camden's early-season schedule has included rain-postponed matches at William Patersn University (Aug. 31, now scheduled for Sept. 28) and Rutgers-Newark (Sept. 9, moved to Oct. 6), in addition to a match suspended after doubles play at Ramapo College on Sept. 8 (with no makeup date set yet). The Scarlet Raptors were supposed to play two teams on Sunday, but Gwynedd Mercy was forced to cancel an early-morning match due to a lack of players. The Raptors will only play Goucher College Sunday in a 1 p.m. home match.

Tiffany Trivers. At third doubles, the Raptors' freshman duo of
Morgan Dempsey and
Hannah Cohan also won by an 8-0 score.
Hawn won her match at first singles, 6-0, 6-0, while Lemma took a 6-0, 6-0 decision at second singles. Trivers also won 6-0, 6-0 at third singles. Hall posted a 6-2, 6-0 victory at fourth singles. In the fifth and sixth spots, Dempsey and Cohan both won by 6-0, 6-1 scores, respectively.
