READING, Penn. (Oct. 5, 2019) – The Rutgers University-Camden volleyball team was defeated by Alvernia University, 3-1, here Saturday in a non-conference match.
The Scarlet Raptors (9-8) lost in four sets to the Golden Wolves (3-8) by the scores of 25-17, 25-21, 18-25 and 25-21.
Alvernia University took an early lead by winning the first two sets. Paige Stern had a standout performance for the Golden Wolves with a career-high 22 kills.
The Scarlet Raptors were led by senior
Morgan Mulligan with 11 kills, two aces, and one block. Sophomore
Devyn Cobb added 11 kills and three blocks and senior
Jordan Erskine added 10 kills. Sophomore
Morgan Fox had a game-high total with 23 digs.
The Scarlet Raptors host Penn State-Brandywine Thursday at 7 p.m. in a non-conference match.
