STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (Dec. 13, 2019) – Junior Jude Misko demolished his own program record in the weight throw and both Misko and sophomore Emily Hilt notched their second ECAC qualifier in the event in two meets as the Rutgers University-Camden indoor men's and women's track teams competed at Wagner College's Seahawk Shootout here Friday.
 
There were no team scores at the meet, which was held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
 
Misko finished second out of 18 athletes with a weight throw of 16.27 meters, shattering the program mark of 15.80 meters he set on Dec. 1, 2018 at the TCNJ Indoor Open. Freshman Emmanuel Lewis finished 10th in the event with a throw of 13.23 meters.
 
Hilt, who set the Rutgers-Camden women's program record in the weight throw on Dec. 6 with a 14.43-meters distance, had a throw of 14.20 meters Friday. She finished sixth out of 23 competitors.
 
Hilt also led the Scarlet Raptors with a shot put of 11.00 meters to finish 10th out of 30 athletes. She also holds the Rutgers-Camden program record in that event (11.58 meters), which was set at the same venue on Dec. 6 at the Fastrack Season Opener.
 
Lewis, meanwhile, led the men's shot putters for Rutgers-Camden, posting a put of 12.37 to finish 10th out of 26 athletes.
 
The Scarlet Raptors ran six women in the 50-athlete competition of the 60-meter dash, with freshman Imani Johnson-Young finishing 24th (8.51), sophomore Kaila English placing 27th (8.54), sophomore Kayana Clue running 29th (8.60) and freshman Lizette Abah finishing 36th (8.85) to lead the pack. Clue also finished 23rd of 46 in the 300-meter dash (46.09), while English was 32nd (48.47).
 
On the men's side, sophomore Desmond Howell placed 13th out of 59 in the 300-meter dash (36.23), junior Vinny Maine was 10th of 28 in the 600-meter dash (1:27.11) and freshman David Morrow finished 19th of 27 in the mile run (4:58.71).
 
The meet was the last one for the Scarlet Raptors of the calendar year. They will return to action in January.
