CENTER VALLEY, Penn. (Aug. 30, 2019) – The Stevenson University volleyball team collected 37 kills and 47 digs as it swept past Rutgers University-Camden in the season opener for both teams at the DeSales University Invitational.
The Mustangs won by scores of 25-17, 25-16 and 25-18.
Sophomore
Devyn Cobb had a match-high eight kills for the Scarlet Raptors, while senior
Jamie Mulligan added five kills and seven digs and senior
Jordan Erskine notched four kills.
Sophomores
Brinn Hassan and
Kayla Benesz collected nine and seven assists, respectively, for Rutgers-Camden, while Hassan and sophomore
Haley Novak notched six digs apiece. Sophomore
Morgan Fox paced the Raptors with eight digs and sophomore
Savannah Hayes added five digs.
Rutgers-Camden returns to action Saturday at the DeSales Invitational. The Scarlet Raptors face Keystone College at 2 p.m. and play host DeSales at 4 p.m.
