IMMACULATA, Penn. (Sept. 14, 2019) – The Rutgers University- Camden volleyball team split matches in their tri-match with Immaculata University and Widener University.
The Scarlet Raptors (4-4) will begin their New Jersey Athletic Conference schedule with a 7 p.m. match at Rutgers-Newark Tuesday.
Rutgers-Camden 3, Immaculata 0
The Scarlet Raptors won by the scores of 25-21, 25-13 and 25-13.
Rutgers-Camden was led by sophomore
Devyn Cobb with 10 kills and senior
Jamie Mulligan with seven kills.
Two sophomores were key contributors to the Scarlet Raptors victory.
Morgan Fox added 15 digs, three aces, and one assist.
Kayla Benesz led the team with 11 assists and three aces.
Widener 3, Rutgers-Camden 2
Widener outlasted Rutgers-Camden, winning 21-25, 25-23, 25-11, 22-25 and 15-11.
Freshman
Tatijana Liedman had 12 of the Scarlet Raptors' 53 kills, while senior
Morgan Mulligan added 11 kills and senior Jordan
Erskine added nine kills.
Sophomore
Brinn Hassan had a team-high in 19 assists and added six aces. Fox had a team high in digs with 19, and added two assist and one ace.
