BRYN MAWR, Penn. (Sept. 25, 2021) – The Rutgers University-Camden women's tennis team has been on a roll since the season started and the Scarlet Raptors kept up their winning ways here Saturday.
 
Rutgers-Camden won two of the three doubles matches and four of the six singles matches as it defeated Bryn Mawr College, 6-3.
 
The victory lifts the Scarlet Raptors to 6-0. The match was the season opener for the Owls.
 
Sophomore 
Sarah Ahrens and senior 
Tiffany Trivers combined for an 8-0 sweep at first doubles, while seniors 
LeAnne Hall and 
Morgan Dempsey won their third doubles match, 8-3. Sophomore 
Samantha Hoban and junior 
Laurel DiStefano lost at second doubles, 8-5.
 
In singles competition, the Raptors won the top three matches behind Ahrens in the number one spot (6-2, 6-2), Hoban at the second flight (6-4, 6-2) and Trivers at the third position (6-4, 6-0). At fifth singles, Hall roared back from a deficit to post a 0-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory.
 
DiStefano dropped a 1-6, 6-2, 1-6 marathon at fourth singles and Dempsey lost another long match at the sixth spot, 6-3, 0-6, 0-6.
 
With two victories apiece, Trivers and Hall moved into second and third place on the program's overall victory list. Trivers now owns 50 career wins (25 at both singles and doubles), while Hall has 49 (24 singles, 25 doubles). They both passed 
Danielle Lemma, who had 48 combined wins from 2016-20). Trivers' 25th singles victory also tied Lemma for second place on the career list for singles wins. Both Trivers and Hall are tied for second in doubles victories with 25 apiece.
 
The Scarlet Raptors return to action Sunday when they host Drew University at 12 p.m.
