CAMDEN, N.J. (March 7, 2022) – Junior attack Meghan O'Shea scored two goals and sophomore attack/midfielder Camille Franklin added one goal and two assists in the first quarter as the Bryn Mawr lacrosse team jumped to a quick six-goal lead over Rutgers University-Camden here Monday.
The Owls (3-0) went on to post a 15-5 victory over the Scarlet Raptors (1-1) in a non-conference game.
Bryn Mawr is now 4-0 in its all-time series against Rutgers-Camden.
The visitors held a 7-1 lead after one quarter, scoring the first five goals of the game before senior midfielder
Claire Gailliout scored on a free position shot with 5:05 left in the quarter.

Linsey Becker cut the Raptors' deficit to 7-4 within the first 4:37 of the second half. Bryn Mawr, however, scored the last goal of the opening half on a tally by Nina Houri, assisted by Franklin.
Bryn Mawr opened up the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Scarlet Raptors, 6-0, including three tallies by O'Shea.
The teams traded fourth-quarter goals, with
Claire Gailliout scoring for the Scarlet Raptors and O'Shea assisting junior midfielder Maya DiFrischia for the Owls.
Bryn Mawr held a 37-11 advantage in shots, including 29-8 on goal. Sophomore goalie
G Bellon made 14 saves for the Scarlet Raptors for the second straight game. Bryn Mawr's goalie duo of senior Jessica Calloway and junior Elizabeth Tompkins notched two and one save, respectively.
O'Shea finished with five goals and one assist for the Owls, while Franklin netted one goal and four assists. Houri notched two goals and three assists and senior midfielder Sierra Hamilton also added a pair of goals. DiFrischia finished with one goal and one assist while adding a game-high four ground balls.
For the Scarlet Raptors,
Claire Gailliout netted three goals and added one assist, while collecting a team-high three draw controls. Torres and Becker scored one goal apiece and freshman midfielder
Ciara Butler led the team with two ground balls.
Rutgers-Camden returns to action Wednesday with a 4 p.m. home game against Neumann University.
