Jade Bonder (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) an overtime tie with a layup with 17 seconds remaining and added three foul shots down the stretch to power the Profs over Rutgers University-Camden, 78-73, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game here Tuesday night.
The win was the first of the year for the Profs, who stand at 1-4 overall and 1-1 in the NJAC. Rutgers-Camden, playing its home opener, falls to 1-2 and 0-1
The Scarlet Raptors had a shot to win the game at the end of regulation, but missed a pair of foul shots in the closing second to send the game into overtime, tied at 65-65. After Rowan scored the first five overtime points, Rutgers-Camden bounced back to take its final lead of the night, 73-72, on a layup by sophomore forward

Kate Matthews (Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) tied the game for the 13th time in the game, and Bonder's layup gave the Profs the lead for good, 75-73. She added a pair of foul shots with 12 seconds remaining and one with two seconds left to seal the victory.

Bria Hill (Atlantic City, NJ/Atlantic City) paced the Profs with 21 points, while Matthews and Bonder both added 15 and freshman guard
Anyssa Sanchez (Stratford, NJ/Sterling) canned 11.
Matthews also finished with 13 points for a double-double and tacked on two steals and a game-high four assists.
Rowan shot 29-for-71 from the floor (40.8 percent), including 6-for-18 (33.3) from three-point range. The Profs also shot 14-for-24 (58.3) from the foul line.

Tanjae Lewis (Magnolia, NJ/Sterling) notching 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Onu added 13 points and 13 boards.

Rutgers-Camden held a 52-51 edge off the boards, but shot only 34.2 percent (27-for-79) from the floor, including 3-for-19 (15.8) from three-point range. The Raptors were 16-for-26 (61.5) from the foul line.
Both teams return to action with NJAC games on Wednesday, Dec. 4. Rutgers-Camden visits Ramapo College for a 5:30 p.m. game, while Rowan hosts New Jersey City University at 6 p.m.
