Women’s Lacrosse falls at home to Arcadia, 18-6

Camden, NJ – The Rutgers-Camden women's lacrosse team lost to unbeaten Arcadia University (7-0) this afternoon.
 

The Knights took a 7-to-0 lead with ten minutes into the game.  The Scarlet Raptors bounced back with two goals in the first period, but Arcadia finished the half with a 12-to-2 lead.   The Knights started the second half strong with six unanswered goals.  Rutgers-Camden fought back with four consecutive goals, but it was too late for the Scarlet Raptors.  Arcadia continues their undefeated season with an 18-to-6 victory over Rutgers-Camden.
 

Krystal Valianti led the Scarlet Raptors with three goals.  Cecilia Gross, Jackie Jones and Dorothy Westlake each recorded a goal for Rutgers-Camden. Westlake also produced an assist, six ground balls, five draw controls, and caused three turnovers.   


The Scarlet Raptors (1-4, NJAC 0-1) will travel to Penn State-Abington on Thursday, March 20th at 6:30pm.  The game against Penn State-Abington is a "Power in Pink" game dedicated to Johanna Yemm, former Temple athlete, who is currently battling breast cancer.
