IMMACULATA, Penn. (Dec. 12, 2015) – Sophomore forward/center Abby Bah (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield Memorial) notched his first career double-double with career-high totals of 16 rebounds and 14 points to lead the Rutgers University-Camden men's basketball team over Immaculata University, 57-50, in a non-conference game here Saturday.
 
The Scarlet Raptors improve to 2-6, snapping a two-game losing streak. The Mighty Macs fall to 2-4 with their first loss in three games.
 
In a tight game throughout, the Mighty Macs took an early 10-5 lead and watched Rutgers-Camden go on a 7-2 run to grab the advantage before the teams deadlocked at 18-18. The Scarlet Raptors followed with a 10-2 run before Immaculata cut the halftime gap to 29-26. Immaculata hit a pair of treys to open the second half and grab a 32-29 lead. The Mighty Macs built that margin to 46-42 before Rutgers-Camden scored the next seven points to take the lead for good.
 
The Raptors' decisive run was sparked by a layup from senior guard Shaun Thomas (Newark, NJ/St. Mary's of the Assumption). Bah followed with a pair of layups, tacking on a foul shot for a three-point play on the second one.
 
Bah's 14 points passed his previous career high of 11 against Kean on Dec. 5. His 16 rebounds, which helped the Raptors hold a dominating 61-30 advantage off the glass in the game, were six more than his old high, accomplished at Stockton University Wednesday.
 
The Scarlet Raptors' defense held Immaculata to 20-for-72 shooting (27.8 percent) from the field, including 7-for-30 (23.3) from three-point range.
 
In addition to Bah, the Raptors received nine points, nine rebounds and three assists from senior guard John Tatem (Camden, NJ/Pennsauken Tech). Junior forward Noah McFarlane (Camden, NJ/Camden Catholic) scored seven points and grabbed his Raptor career high of seven rebounds. Senior guard Jonathan Baker-Jernigan (Willingboro, NJ/BCIT-Medford) also set his Raptor career high with seven boards.
 
Junior guard Julian Diaz-Smitherman (Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken) tied his Raptor career high with eight points.
 
Immaculata received 14 points from senior guard Rodney Duncan (Media, PA/Penncrest). Junior guard/forward Roy Ferrell Jr. (Hockessin, DE/Charter School of Wilmington) netted 13 and freshman guard Mike Piekarski (Wilmington, DE/St. Elizabeth) added 11.
 
The Scarlet Raptors play their last game before the holiday break when they entertain William Paterson University in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 3 p.m.
